Fall 2025 Updates:
- PLBD will be holding the Yule Ball, our Harry Potter themed social ball for the Fall 2025 semester! Yule Ball will take place on Sunday, November 16 from 7pm to 10pm at Hall of Flags in Houston Hall.
- Yule Ball is open to everyone, even if you are not part of PLBD or if you do not have ballroom dance experience!
- There will be a beginner dance lesson, social dancing, and PLBD members’ showcase performances

Who Are We?
Penn Latin and Ballroom Dance (PLBD) is a student organization at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. We teach and promote Ballroom and Latin dancing to Penn students and other Penn affiliates. We welcome beginners! In fact, most people currently on the team had no prior dance experience.
What Do We Do?
In addition to providing weekly DanceSport lessons and occasional social dance lessons, we compete at collegiate competitions, host balls, and put together dance performances throughout the year. If you don’t want to compete and just want to take dance lessons, that’s perfectly fine too! Please check out our FAQ or contact us if you still have more questions.
